Chalk Couture

Chalk Couture – Tee Shirt – Believed

I purchased a few tee shirts from my local dollar store and did some screen printing on them.  I used the “She Believed She Could” transfer and the Chalkology Ink Shimmer Copper and Chalkology Ink Bright White.

I also used the Ink Mat  on the inside, if you don’t have an Ink Mat a piece of cardboard will work as well.  The Ink Mat is a little sticky to hold the cloth in place as you work with it, so you could lightly spay some adhesive on the cardboard.  Also the Ink Mat protects against bleed through.

Once the ink is dry I heat set it with a medium heat iron for 4 minutes on each side.  I used a piece of parchment paper between the iron and the fabric.  After that the tee shirt can be laundered as usual (I would recommend turning it inside out first).
