Card Buffet Flyer 4

Time for another card buffet.

What is a card buffet?

So glad you asked!

A card buffet is an all you can create buffet. That is, all you can create cards for $2 per card in a 2 ½ hour time period. Each card should take 5 – 10 minutes to make. You will have 15 – 20 different cards to choose from.

Want to make your cards for less?

No problem.

Place a Close to my Heart order with me at the buffet. For every $25 you order (before shipping and tax) you get a .25 discount per card. Spend $25, get your cards for $1.75 each. Spend $50 they become $1.50 each.

Receive a .25 discount for every friend you bring. 2 friends, .50 off each card.

Sign up for one of my other classes and your cards will be $1.50 each.

Valentine Card and Envelope

Here is a Valentine card.  I used printed cork, burlap and did some machine sewing around the edge of the card.  I did a lot of experimenting on this card but it turned out pretty cool.  Valentine Card 1Here is a photo of some of the supplies you’ll need.  Any kind of heart shape will work for this card.  You’ll also need a corner rounder, a border punch, ink and stamp of choice (I used Close to my Heart chocolate ink and stamp set D1283 Say it in Style).  Unfortunately that stamp set has been discontinued.

Valentine Card 2Trace your template onto a folded piece of cardstock but be careful not to cut the fold.Valentine Card 3I used my sewing machine to add some stitching to the card front before I attached it to the card base.Valentine Card 4I made a “candy” heart out of clay for the flower center.Valentine Card 5 Valentine Card 6

I put it all together then added some Cotton Candy Stickles on the arrow.Valentine Card and Envelope Part 1 of 2Then I made a custom envelope to go with the card.

Valentine Card Envelope 1I used the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board to make my envelope but you can also use the Martha Stewart score board as well (the large one that has the envelope triangle on the back).

Valentine Card Envelope 2I added a liner to my envelope because it’s so easy to add one when you’re making an envelope.

Valentine Card and Envelope Part 2 of 2The completed custom card and envelope.  So pretty.

Here is the video for the card.

Wedding Card

An elegant wedding card for some friends,

and of course I decorated the back of the card because it’s often ignored and why shouldn’t we embellish the backs of cards and album.

Lap Desks

Everything you need to send cards all in one neat and beautiful box.  Stamps, sticky notes, tags, 3 x 3 note cards with matching envelopes, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 greeting cards with matching envelopes, an address book and matching pen.

For this one I added a few things and changed some things.  I added some inspirational quotes on the side panels, a calendar that can be change every year, a closure for the address book and a box for housing the pen instead of the pen loop.  I think the pen box looks cleaner.  I also added some envelope seals and tiny velcro dots to the box to hold it together while the lid is being put on.

Magic Card

This card so much fun to give.  You pull the tag out and reveal the magic.  The stamped image is magically colored.  This makes people say “How did you do this?”  Can you figure it out?  Leave a comment if you can or if you need help figuring it out.

Mother of the Bride Survival Kit

I made this kit for a friend of mine whose daughter is getting married this summer.

This is a simple monochromatic card with a quilled flower.  The camera doesn’t show the glimmer mist though.
