Essential Oil Recipe of the Week – On Guard Pumpkin Pancakes

I love making these pancakes when the temperature turns cold and germs start flying about.  On Guard is a great immune boosting oil blend (see my On Guard Oil of the Week post here).

Start with a batch of pancake batter.  You can use store bought powder or make from scratch.  Whatever makes you giggle.

After you’ve made your batter add in 1 cup of pumpkin puree.  Again you can use canned or a fresh pumpkin that you’ve previously pureed.  Mix well.

Then add 4-6 drops of On Guard oil (to your taste).  Mix well.  Cook as usual.  Enjoy as you wish.

Essential Oil Recipe of the Week – Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Now that it’s fall and starting to get cold outside, visions of hot beverages start dancing through our heads.  How about hot chocolate with a drop of peppermint essential oil?

You can of course surf the web and find the perfect hot cocoa recipe or it’s really okay to use powder mix from a can or packet.  That’s what we do in our house.  I’m a busy mom/business owner.  When I want hot chocolate, I want it now.  My inner child doesn’t want to wait for me to make hot cocoa from scratch.  So, when we get our hot water and our hot chocolate powder mixed together in a harmonious marriage we add one drop of peppermint essential oil per cup,  Give it a quick stir so they all become one, then you have to add whipped cream!  Why?  Because, if you don’t add whipped cream the earth will be thrown off it’s axis and nothing will be right.  Now you need your softest lounge-wear and a good book.  Enjoy!
