Here is a Valentine card. I used printed cork, burlap and did some machine sewing around the edge of the card. I did a lot of experimenting on this card but it turned out pretty cool. Here is a photo of some of the supplies you’ll need. Any kind of heart shape will work for this card. You’ll also need a corner rounder, a border punch, ink and stamp of choice (I used Close to my Heart chocolate ink and stamp set D1283 Say it in Style).
Trace your template onto a folded piece of cardstock but be careful not to cut the fold.
I used my sewing machine to add some stitching to the card front before I attached it to the card base.
I made a “candy” heart out of clay for the flower center.
I put it all together then added some Cotton Candy Stickles on the arrow. Then I made a custom envelope to go with the card.
I used the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board to make my envelope but you can also use the Martha Stewart score board as well (the large one that has the envelope triangle on the back).
I added a liner to my envelope because it’s so easy to add one when you’re making an envelope.
The completed custom card and envelope. So pretty.
Here is the video for the card.
