Valentine Card and Envelope

Here is a Valentine card.  I used printed cork, burlap and did some machine sewing around the edge of the card.  I did a lot of experimenting on this card but it turned out pretty cool.  Valentine Card 1Here is a photo of some of the supplies you’ll need.  Any kind of heart shape will work for this card.  You’ll also need a corner rounder, a border punch, ink and stamp of choice (I used Close to my Heart chocolate ink and stamp set D1283 Say it in Style).  Unfortunately that stamp set has been discontinued.

Valentine Card 2Trace your template onto a folded piece of cardstock but be careful not to cut the fold.Valentine Card 3I used my sewing machine to add some stitching to the card front before I attached it to the card base.Valentine Card 4I made a “candy” heart out of clay for the flower center.Valentine Card 5 Valentine Card 6

I put it all together then added some Cotton Candy Stickles on the arrow.Valentine Card and Envelope Part 1 of 2Then I made a custom envelope to go with the card.

Valentine Card Envelope 1I used the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board to make my envelope but you can also use the Martha Stewart score board as well (the large one that has the envelope triangle on the back).

Valentine Card Envelope 2I added a liner to my envelope because it’s so easy to add one when you’re making an envelope.

Valentine Card and Envelope Part 2 of 2The completed custom card and envelope.  So pretty.

Here is the video for the card.
